Profit Software appoints Mika Hakala as EVP, Product Development & Production and Member of the Corporate Management Group

Software is pleased to announce the appointment of Mika Hakala as Executive
Vice President of product development and production and a member of the
Corporate Management Group. Hakala assumed his new position effective 19 March
2009, and is responsible for the entire product lifecycle processes within
Profit Software. He will report directly to Profit Software’s President and CEO
Harry Nyroos.
Prior to Hakala’s new appointment he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Hantro Products Ltd, the Finnish subsidiary of US based On2 Technologies Inc. Before that, he worked at Nokia within product development operations. Hakala has a long and broad experience in running challenging product-based businesses and product development and is the founder of some ICT related companies.
“The insurance business today is switching from customised solutions to product-based business and will inevitably move more and more to a service-based model in near future. This evolution reminds us of the development seen in the CRM business and Profit Software is in an excellent position and has great opportunity to succeed in expanding its businesses. Mika Hakala graduated with a Master’s degree in Information Technology and he holds MBA certificate from INSEAD.
