Profit Software and Sollers Consulting sign partnership agreement at industry event in Poland

Profit Software presentation at event outlines several important points for insurers to follow in order to ensure the success of IT transformation projects.

Held in the coastal resort town of Sopot from 14-16 June, the annual Summer Insurance & Reinsurance Days event attracted more than 160 high-level delegates from the Polish insurance industry. Participating companies included regional giants such as AXA, Aviva, Allianz, Vienna Insurance Group, Generali and PZU.

During the event Profit Software and Warsaw-based insurance consultancy Sollers Consulting signed an important partnership agreement that will allow the two parties to jointly serve the local market. Sollers will support Profit Software in both sales and software deliveries, providing important local insurance knowledge as well as skilled implementation resources.

“We’re very pleased that after evaluating a number of different alternatives Sollers has decided that Profit Software is the best solution for the Polish market,” said Profit Software CEO Harry Nyroos, in Sopot for the event. “Our strategy in the CEE region is based on building up the appropriate local strength through our partnerships with quality local organizations, and Sollers is a perfect fit with this strategy.” Profit Software now has agreements with four partners in Poland, the others being Speednet, Qualent Software and Affecto.

”Profit Software has been established in Poland for some time now and is looking for even more growth in the region,” said Michał Trochimczuk, Sollers Consulting founder and board member. “This business partnership is completely aligned with our new strategy of providing complete 360 degree business consulting, project management and technology services for insurers. Partnering with Profit Software is a natural choice for Sollers, as we greatly appreciate their established life insurance offering and the integrity of their business culture.”

As a sponsor of the two-day event, Profit Software also had the opportunity to make a presentation to delegates. Manager of the company’s Warsaw-based subsidiary, Mika Argillander, took the audience through Profit Software’s experience of running IT transformation projects and made some recommendations to insurers considering modernizing their systems. “No IT system is 100% compliant with your existing processes, so you absolutely need to make sure that top management leads the change,” said Argillander. “There are no shortcuts or ‘big-bang’ solutions in IT transition projects, and therefore companies need to make changes in small steps rather than in large leaps. Insurance IT projects, if tackled in the right way, offer a unique opportunity to introduce new services that will measurably improve both internal and external processes.”
