Duo Life’s Core Life & Pension Solution Deployed in Record Time

Profit Software has implemented a core life & pension solution in record time for the new Finnish greenfield company, Duo Life Insurance Company, working together with their ASP hosting partner Samlink Oy. The solution comprehensively supports all of the key insurance processes of Duo Life.

Profit Software has implemented its flagship Life&Pension insurance solution in record time for the greenfield company Duo Life. It took only eight weeks to take the solution into production, when a typical implementation time in the industry is from one to two years.

The client has issued the first policies with the new solution and has expressed their high level of satisfaction with being able to commence business operations so rapidly.

The success with Duo was underpinned by the new ASP Factory Service Concept and by the fact that Profit's solution exists in a complete form today. Duo’s pragmatic approach to the core insurance solution enabled a successful turnkey deployment concept with 100% core solution outsourcing.

- The schedule was the most challenging part. To my knowledge there exists neither in Finland nor in Europe  any insurance business that has been launched in such a time frame as we have done. The fast delivery was vital also from a strategic point of view, states Pekka Luukkanen from Duo Life. - This new financial industry consortium, in which Duo represents the end user Profit Software is the IT vendor and Samlink operates as ASP Service Provider, will be a fundamental part of our strategy in the future. 

- Instead of IT, we will focus on sales and management processes. This is absolutely a more cost-effective way and it means better competitiveness for us as a new player in the market, Luukkanen adds.

- Our strategy is to be a service provider in all the areas our clients operate in, and the insurance business is one of these core areas, says Antti Kivelä of Samlink.
- Since the Savings Banks decided to co-operate with Duo, it is natural that Samlink has extended its ASP Service to the other areas, he concludes.
